If you’re visiting the resort of Jaco Costa Rica and its unspoiled countryside is on your doorstep. The town is just over an hour’s drive from the country’s main airport in San Jose, and is the ideal gateway to explore some of Costa Rica’s jungle and mountain scenery. Within easy reach of the town is the almost 600 feet high Bijagual waterfall, as well as the Manuel Antonio National Park, with its diverse wildlife. Cruising to the beautiful Tortuga Island is also popular. However, the town of Jaco itself also has plenty to do. It’s a somewhat laid back beach community, and as well as just relaxing on the beach, surfing, snorkeling and deep sea fishing are all widely available activities. Jaco is also known for its nightlife, and has a good selection of bars and cafes, as well as many beachfront rentals.
